My collage work, including the large structure I made for Burning Man in 2022, explore the beauty and meaning of aging through the deconstruction and repurposing of vintage materials. I’m drawn to combining disparate elements that ask the viewer to find their story. I love the search for materials, discovering old illustrations and books I never read, the intrigue of unknown languages, physics equations, the faded color and feel of old linen book covers, and the visual disruption of an altered image. I love the honest beauty of mold, rust and wrinkles; most of all, I love the texture of imperfection. (read more)
