NOVEMBER OPEN STUDIO
The ICB Artists Studios in Sausalito, CA, will be open for our Winter Open Studios, the evening of November 14, 5-7pm, and Saturday and Sunday, November 15-16 from 10- 5 pm. My Studio is on the North side of the 3rd floor down a hallway by the staircase—Studio 350D. I hope to see you there.
CURRENT EXHIBITIONS
Opening in early November is the exhibition (R)evolution at Revolution Yoga in Santa Rosa in which I have a piece included. The opening is Saturday, November 8th, 4-8pm.
My piece “The Treasure Hunt” is part of the 21st annual
Fiber Art exhibition, Fantastic Fiber, at O’Hanlon Center for the Arts in Mill Valley, CA, through November 14th, 2025.
I have a dozen works of art included in the exhibition “Dislocations: Artists’ Books” by the Global Art Project, held at Studio 55 in Martinez, CA. It is open through November 22th, 2025, and includes book arts and works made through the group exchange of materials. Closing Reception November 22nd, 1-4pm.
Portfolio
I explore the beauty and meaning of aging through the deconstruction and repurposing of vintage materials. I’m drawn to combining disparate elements that ask the viewer to conjure a meaning for them. I love the materials I recylce and create work with—the writings in languages I can’t understand, physics equations, the faded color and feel of old linen book covers, and the visual disruption of an altered photograph. I love the honest beauty of mold, rust and wrinkles; most of all, I love the texture of imperfection. (read more)
